I want to thank you, Chris, for sharing your twisted mind with us for so many years! I've disagreed with you PLENTY of times in recent years, and even called you a few names :) But, without you, NONE of this would be possible. I would not care enough about a show to bother being ticked-off at it. I don't know the writers or directors of any other show, but I sure know which episodes you penned and/or directed, this way I know who to complain about! But, of course, if someone else wrote it, and I have a complaint, I still say you told them to do it! I love to be mad at you! Because then you always do something brilliant that reminds me why I bother investing myself in your TV show.

DUDE, your mind is magnificent, and thank you for sharing it with us! I wish you the best for all your future projects, if they're all a 1/4 as succesful as this one, you'll never have any problems!!

Thank you for the best hour of entertainment to ever grace the small screen. Thank you for developing two incredible characters, and for letting DD and GA contribute to their character's growth. Thank you for memorable monsters, terrific bad guys, and those ambiguous few who could go either way. Thank you for bringing one of the best writing teams together for us on this show.

Thank you for all the fun, chills, frights, laughs, frustrated groans, gasps, and even the controversy. No other show has ever made me CARE what happens next, like yours did, and still does (that movie can't come out soon enough!) So thank you for making us FEEL. Be it scared, happy, sad, murderous (ha-ha), worried, CONFUSED, uncertain, angst-y, 'shippy or NoRoMo-y, WHATEVER, just

T H A N K Y O U ! ! !

As a retired educator, someone committed to today's youth, and an individual who appreciates artful endeavors in all forms, the X-files exemplifies something far beyond the concept of entertainment. The X-files is an exercise in the art of creative thinking. Encouraging one to think is an admirable process and Chris Carter has done it very well through his vision and the journey a third generation will now get an opportunity to experience on the big screen.

There is very little on television that can come near anything artistic in its writing, acting and production. Carter has had his hands on the reins of all three and the result is obvious. This is the only show I have ever followed having the good fortune to discover it in l999 and it is the only TV show I encouraged my children to watch as teenagers. Chris Carter has given us a measurable gift by letting us peak into a window of his wonderful mind. Thank You for the artistic pleasure that we could reap from this adventure. Thank You for showing young people what the mind can conceive when one sits down to exercise and norish it through expression of thought.

I really hate doing these thank you comments. It's really hard to express things like this with just words. Now, if I had a webcam that'd work just fine. You could see the pure joy on my face, the sorrow in my eyes and the empty space in my heart that's where the show would be.

I'll miss the show, no doubt. Yes, I've been disapointed at time, but who hasn't? We can't all be perfect. If the show, or characters had perfectly developed lives it would just be boring. It's the unbelievable, the strange and the surprising things that the show provides that makes me tune in each week. From week to week you don't know if the last storyline is true, you're always guessing who's going to do what and who's going to be the 'good' guy or girl. It's amazing like that!

Thank *you* Mr Carter, for providing this for us. Worldwide fans have come together to say thank you. Yes, you may have made us mad at times, but we still thank you for your time and effort (and patience with the fans)... Thank You! You provided something for us, a legacy!

Words cannot express what I feel. I have met so many people through my fanatic tendencies to the show. Those friendships will last a lifetime, beyond the limits of the show and the fan community - I thank you for that!

Thank You Chris Carter!

Sincerely,
Becky

Wow Chris - you've put up with a lot of stick from disgruntled fans, but we all love you really. :)

I'd just like to thank you for nine years of compulsive, electrifying and above-all ground breaking television. Your inginuity and creativeness has lead to a show which will stay close to my heart for years to come, and I know that sounds corny but hey, this is Mulder and Scully we're talking about..... :)

So good luck with your future projects, and feel proud in the fact that you, yes *YOU*, gave us the X-Files. :)

I don`t know if my english is good enough..but who cares;-) What I`d like to say is that the X-Files became a part of my life during the last years. It helped me through hard times, because it was and is my passion. I`ll always remember the times when I was talking to other x-files about the last episodes or when we were watching episodes like Memento Mori together and we were all crying together. It was so great to sit in the cinema with all this X-Philes..I didn`t know most of this people but there was such a strange connection between us..this connection, this feeling of belonging together exists between all the X-Philes in this world..and that`s so great. I will always be a fan of the X-Files and it hurts soooo freakin`much to know that it will be over soon..when I think about that..I fall into a deep depression. It`s crazy..I know..but it`s true. I wont forget any part of this wonderful show..and it`ll always be a part of my life. When I`m older I will remember my "X-Files Time" and watch the episodes on video and tell my kids about it. I can`t donate for this foundation but I will put a banner on my site. Thank you Chris..thank you so much!!

Thank you, Chris, for the many hours of entertainment and <ahem> heated discussion that The X-Files provided!

As a woman engineer (and engineers get their start by being strong in the maths. and sciences) I wholeheartedly support your foundation. I myself was unable to afford college but thanks to the generosity of scholarship donors, I was able to attend one of the most prestigious undergraduate institutions in the world. I have since reaped all the benefits -- great jobs, positive impact on society, and of course, a wonderful salary.

It is my pleasure to give back part of the generosity extended to me over 20+ years ago by donating to this foundation.

The X-Files, which began as Chris Carter's vision, is a show which portrays a woman with a science degree in a wonderful and positive light. It highlights the role of science in Inquiry.

I thank you, Mr. Carter, for developing the character of Dana Scully, with her B.S. in Physics. I have seen girls all over realize that 'smart IS sexy' and that physics and estrogen go together!

My husband, my two children, and I wish you ALL the best.
